The capital of Pakistan Islamabad

Most important place in a country is obviously its capital. Thats why I am starting the geography portion of Pakistan with the capital city Islamabad.

Islamabad is considered as very beautiful city of Pakistan, also known as the green city. It is gifted by nature with the Hills series called Margala hills. They are most beautiful and the green part of the city. Unlike other cities of Pakistan this city is properly planned city so this thing further adds into the beauty of this city.

The important thing about this city is this city was built in 1960 when capital was shifted to Islamabad. Islamabad was completely a forest at that time but now its turned into one of very beautiful city of world from no where.

Town planning done at Islamabad simply rocks. This city is properly planned to sectors and each sector then futher devided into green areas and four sub sectors with a central commercial area for each sector known as "Markaz" in local language. A map is attached showing the sectors. Also Islamabad is gifted with a Lake called Rawal Lake.

This is the city having the tall high buildings as the headquarters of the organizations in Pakistan and city having several five star hotels and world's second seven star hotel is under construction in Islamabad.
